Millions of computers are now connected together by the Internet. At a fast pace, applications are taking proot of these new capabilities, and become parallel and distributed , e.g. applets on the WWW or agent technology. As we live in a world with nite resources, an important challenge is to be able to control computations in such an environment. For instance, a user might like to suspend a computation because another one seems to be more promising. In this paper, we present a paradigm that allows the programmer to monitor and control computations, whether parallel or distributed, by mastering their resource consumption. De la nitude des ressources en calcul distribu e R esum e : Internet met en communication des millions d'ordinateurs : les logiciels int egrent donc, de plus en plus, des aspects li es au parall elisme et a la distribution : codons (applets) sur la toile (Web) ou autres agents. Le monde r eel ne poss edant que des ressources nies, nous proposons de contr^ oler les calculs pour en tirer le meilleur parti. Par exemple, un utilisateur peut vouloir suspendre un certain calcul si un autre semble plus prometteur. Dans ce rapport, nous proposons un nouveau paradigme autorisant les programmeurs a contr^ oler et diriger leurs calculs, qu'ils soient parall eles ou distribu es, par la ma^ trise de la consommation de ressources informatiques n ecessaires pour leur accomplissement.
